Capt. Denis
Tampa Bay Charter Fishing - Capt. Denis Quilligan
My web site tampabaycharterfishing.com was the number one hit on all of the search engines. I sold the web site to Capt. Dan Bumgarner when I retired. He still gets 17 hits a day. This link is from a web site from Fore & Aft Marine. They have links to many of the top fishing charters/guides in Florida. I asked them to remove me from their list but I am still there. It shows pics of my 2 boats and information about my charter business. I did the charters part-time working around my full-time career with the City of Tampa Recreation Department. I had planned to persue the fishing on a seasonal basis full-time working 8 months and vacatiioning 4 months with my city pension paying all of the basics. A back problem forced me to quit, sell the business and retire to the mountains of Tennessee. Fortunate for me I have several sources of income and I am enjoying a wonderful retirement.

Denis from Tennis
City of Tampa Public Tennis Courts
This web site is where I worked for 20 years as the Tennis Director (Racquet Sports Supervisor). I left Salvation with my eyes set on a career in Tennis. I began my quest with a very humble job. I was a part-time tennis court maintenance man at the Carrollwood Village Golf and Tennis Club. I worked my way up to the very top tennis position in the Tampa Bay, Florida area. During my climb I was the Tennis Director at the Tampa Airport Resort Golf and Tennis Club. I earned my USPTA tennis professional certification and earned numerous national and state awards. Most notable was the USTA Community Service Award which was presented at the U.S. Open in New York City. I was named "Junior Promoter Of The Year" by Tennis Magazine. I also had the opportunity to be involved with the construction of 2 "USTA Outstanding Tennis Facility Award" winning tennis complexes. The City of Tampa Complex at HCC is a 28 court complex located across from Tampa Stadium home of the NFL Tampa Bay Bucaneers and next to Legends Field spring training facility for the New York Yankees. That is where my office was. The other award winner was the Sandra W. Freedman Tennis Complex on beautiful Davis Islands adjacent to downtown Tampa. I was the man in charge of those facilities and 11 other tennis complexes city-wide. It was a wonderful and challenging position. I was fortunate to have a great pension, medical insurance and other benefits and decided to retire at age 55. My plans were to continue the charter fishing business and fish approximately 8 months a year with 4 months to enjoy but an ailing back forced me to sell the business and retire to the mountains of eastern Tennessee.

"The Real Rocky" Chuck Wepner's Web Site
When Sylvestor Stylone saw the prize fight between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner he was motivated to write the movie "Rocky". Chuck was a sort of unknown fighter, although his fight card includes some of the finest fighters of his era, facing the "World Champion" Ali. Although Chuck was outclassed by the champ he did put Ali to the canvas one time which made the fight one to remember. I recall that the fight was held in late March during "spring break" and we were performing in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Several of us from Salvation went to a local movie theater to catch it. That was in the days before cable and the fights could only be seen on simalcast at the movies. The fight was on a Monday Night as I recall and we were not working. Chuck Wepner is a cousin of one of the Osprey Hotel owners during the Salvation years and also was one of the bands biggest fans. He took the microphone for a few words each time he was in attendance and was onstage in the "Salvation Reunion Party" video. Check out this must see web site.

Jim Wyckoff is the man behind this web site. He never actually knew the band....he recently turned 40 years old. His mother knew the band very well. She was a very close friend of Salvations. We actually paid her airfare from St. Pete, Florida to Manasquan, NJ and also to Hunter Mountain, NY. Her name is Dawn and she is my sister. Jim somehow became a fan. He has collected all of our records and started the web site. It was going very strong but recently went "under construction". Jim needed more room for photos, etc. Jim promises to get the site back to form asap.
