Capt. Harley [5 Images]

My love for motorcycles dates back to the summers at the Osprey Hotel In Manasquan, New Jersey. I bought a purple metalflake Triumph from a friend. I never forgot that bike. When I left Salvation and returned to Florida I went for broke and bought a Harley. I am still riding today. I have toured the entire Eastern U.S. and have taken several trips out west. Sturgis, South Dakota for the Bike Rally was my first trip west. The last one was with a group of friends. We rode from Florida to New Mexico then on through Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and ended up in Sturgis. It was really great, touring and camping in the desert and mountains. We saw the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and many more National Parks and Monuments. From there I rode to Tennessee to visit my sister and ended up purchasing property and a home here. It is now my summer home. I headed home to Florida this past winter. From my home in Tennessee I can ride the Appalacian Trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway in just over 1 hour. What a wonderful place.

The Charterboat Captain-Fishing Guide [14 Images]

I am a Florida native....born and raised in St. Petersburg. Consequently, I grew up on the water and learned how to fish at an early age. It was only natural that I continued to be interested in the sport when I returned home after I left Salvation. At first I bought a small boat and headed for the waters of Tampa Bay on the weekends for some fishing fun. That eventually grew into a part-time business. Tampa Bay Charter Fishing was the name of my corporation. I juggled my full-time job as the Tennis Director for the City of Tampa Recreation Department and my charterboat business. It kept me very very busy. It was a wonderful time. It was also a lot of work. Capt. Denis Quilligan

The Salvation Band [10 Images]

"Every picture tells a story....don't it?" That was a popular Rod Stewart song in the 1970"s. I am hoping that we (I say "we" because I am hoping that you will e-mail your old Salvation photos) Can bring back the spirit of the band called Salvation through photos. You really had to be there to experience it. There was definately high powered energy when they performed. The fans lined up for more than a block hoping to squeeze into the main bar at the Osprey Hotel in Manasquan, New Jersey on the Jersey Shore to become a part of the action. It was "standing room only" for virtually every performance for 10 years running. The name Salvation was recognized all over the New Jersey and New York City area and was synonimous with such great names as Bruce Springstein and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. Some say that Salvation was and still is the "greatest undiscovered band" of all times. What do you think. Send your photos and please tell us about your experiences with Salvation.
